Haunted House

Here, in the old, seemingly haunted house, within the darker part of the forest, lives Veroinca. It is a very large, Victorian style house, that looks broken down for the most part. But inside, it is elegantly beautiful, and it takes you back to an earlier time.

Veronica opened the old creaky door, and stepped outside into the fog. SHe walked to an old, dead stump, and alighted upon it. She sat in the silence, and looked about.

From her place on the dead stump, gazing at the gray-green fog, she heard a voice, and a quick persistant knock. Glancing up, she saw a girl knocking on her door. She opened the gate to her yard, and walked silently behind the girl.

"Hello." she said quietly.

startled Allisa jumped and her basket fell to the ground."oh hello,you scared me''She said startled but yet lauhging..

Allissa bent down and started to pick up dsome of the few mushrooms that fell from the basket when she dropped it...

The girl stared, but said nothing. She merely stood, cluthing her frail parasol.

(Here she is, so you xan see how creepy she looks)

"um ''said Allissa ''I'm sorry to just show up like this,but I was out picking Mushrooms and I saw this house..I asent really sure who lived here..If u dont mind me asking do live here alone?I was just wondering becasue I had heraed about this house nad I knew I wouldant ver...''Allissa stoped herself''I just didnt know''..(she is pretty)

Veronica didn't smile but nodded her head.
"Yes. I live here alone."

She made a sweeping gesture to all of the dead trees and stumps, and, upon close inspection, one could see a graveyard in the back of the house.

Allissa just stood three,not knowing what to say.."I live alone too"

Veronica nodded again.

"I see."

She took two steps toward the door, then stopped.

"Would you like to come inside?" sh asked flatly, looking up at the giant, two hundred year old house.

''um sure thank you''She said walking towards the door adn into the house that creeked with each step...

Veronica opened the door, revealing a cold, creepy foyer with a master staircase at the far wall.

Allissa looked around and then sat her basket on the goriund next to a ols wooden chair..''THis is a...lovely home u have Veronics''She sai dloking around glancing at the what ws to bee'livingrrom'' with boks,and some furniture..Then a black cat tan under Allissa's knees..she gasped

Veronica picked the cat up and petted it soothingly.

"You scared Midna" she said simply, stroking the black cat.

(LOL I named the cat after Midna)

"oh I'm sry..But i think she mihgt have scared me more...''Allissa sai dlkauhging..(i'd rihgt more but im like about to throw up i feel soo sick..si i'll write more in the next one..

Veronica did not give a reply, but sat down in a old, elegant lloking chair, ans stroked her cat.

Allissa just stood there..."so , Arent you the one that works downtown at the liquor store?(didnt now what to put lol)''ya know hte one wiht the exspensive wine?I heared it gets paid alot''..

"No. I am not employed." she said, in a monotone. Despite it being daytime, the house and surrounding area were surprisingly dim, like twilight.

Veronica stared at her.

"Why did you come here?" she asked, he voice breaking the dead silence.

" A lady came to my house telling Me about a great mushrom patch out here in the forest..Every Saturday ans sometime Friday mornings i go to the twon sqare and sell differnat goods..I thuhagt a mushrom casdarole would be great for selling along iwht my apple cider pies...I'm sorry if i disturbed you.."

Allissa said picking her basket up..

Veronica drank this in for a momnet, before replying.

"Would you like me to help you find some?"

She said very shocked thta the qiet gilr acctually said somehting to her that wasnet a nod or a no...

Veronica rose, and walked to the door.
