A Slow Day at the Inn

Veronica nodded.
"Yes. But we are some of the last left. I wish we could find some more like us..."

Isolde nodded.
"We don't die. Not unless we are killed. Never of old age."

"Oh, well I am surprised that you two are still alive after all these years. But anyway, I'm very sorry you cannot find another person ofyour race. How far have you looked for some?"Iza asked

Isolde shrugged.

"As far as we could. I have a feeling there is some to the North but...there are reasons we can't travel there."

"Oh, well I am sorry to hear that. I am thinking of moving up to the North in a few months for a little while. But I will be moving back. But for now, how is the headstone coming along?"Iza asked Isolde.

Isolde looked up as she chiseled away.

"Well." she said.

Veronica sighed.
"i wish we could talk to the king. We need to settle something before we wander."

"Well, I must be on my way, but maybe we could go to the king tomorrow or sometime soon and talk. Besides, I need to keepmyself ocupied."Iza queried.

Isolde nodded, and started to chisel again.

Iza proceded on her way out of their home and to hers. She opened her door and sat on her bed and drifted into a deep slumber. When she awoke it was at sunrise. She yawned and rubbed her eyes. She got up and headed to Isolde and Veronica's home at once.

Veronica was polishing the headstone, while Isolde dug the grave that would forever seal the old man into his grave.

Iza got to the burial ground just before Isolde and Veronica lowered it into the grave.

Isolde began to pitch dirt on it.
"Hi. Up bright and early, I see."

Iza looked away from the pit and replied to Isolde.
"Yes, I feel the day is wasted otherwise."

Isodle shrugged, and went on with her work

Iza walked to the other side of the pit and stood silently. (say that five times fast! lol)
"Thank you for all you've done. I apprectiate it."

Veronica nodded, and smiled encouragingly.

Isolde finished burying it.
"No problem. Sorry for your loss."

"Thank you. And, it is ok. I suppose it was just his time. That's the cycle of life: you're born, you live, you die. Well, excpt for the Sheikah." Iza said as she stepped back from the grave.

Isolde laughed.

"A lot of the races of the old land had extended life spans, not just us."

Veronica smiled.
"It will be okay, in time." she said, patting Iza on the shoulder.

"Yes, time heals faster than anything else I suppose. "Iza said agreeing wth Veronica.
